Case Study
Preparing for the End
Aiding and Abetting
Netflix asked us to be their partner-in-crime in extending Ozark’s final season onto social. We didn’t know where the work would take us, but the only thing we did know was that nobody gets out clean.
Bridging the
Hiatus
Following a two-year long hiatus, Ozark returned to complete its sweeping portrait of an ordinary family, caught up in a web of greed, ambition, and corruption in the American Midwest.
Devising the Plan
Relationships in the Ozarks have been complicated. That’s why we felt it important to lend a helping hand to fans leading up to the season premiere: untying the knot, pulling at the series’ many plot threads, and showcasing the growth and evolution of the series’ defining characters.

No One Gets Out Clean Countdowns
To lure viewers into the dirt, we conspired to create an initial content series to whet their appetites and boost their blood pressure. These suspenseful teasers primed fans for the season premiere without spoiling any of the major twists.

That one TikTok
Julia Garner's portrayal of Ruth Langmore had already received critical acclaim, but Season 4 saw her character's presence on social media explode.
Character Arc Summary Series
For better or for worse, the Byrde family is forced into a painful period of transformation, but nobody ever said growing came without its pains. We didn't want fans to miss a beat, so we created a series of videos highlighting the growth trajectories of Ozark's characters over time to coincide with the season's launch.

Ruth & Omar Spotlights
We took deeper dives into the backstories of the series protagonist and main antagonist: Ruth Langmore and Omar Navarro. Both characters were fan favorites and generated plenty of conversation on the Ozark handles.
Don't Spoil It PSA
Fans of the series were so rabid in their desire for more information that they themselves instituted a mantra for the fandom:
NO. SPOILERS.
We were only too happy to crack our knuckles and play the enforcer.
Fan Reactions
Brass Tacks
After the dust settled on Instagram and Facebook, we were able to tabulate the final census of our endeavor: a whole lot of big numbers. Fans turned out in droves, driving our views into the tens of millions and our comments and shares into the hundreds of thousands.
We call that an earnest day's work.
